Selecta Biosciences, a company revolutionizing biologic therapies, was looking to evolve their brand to better express their goal of leaving a legacy of improved care for patients. They came to my team seeking redesigned website, and new scientific visuals.
Process
I helped to define a brand that combines human-centric and scientific imagery, emphasizing their focus on real people and real outcomes. By creating a unique style of scientific illustration, I was able to upgrade their diagrams and graphics to sit well within their brand. I then applied the refreshed visual style to the site design, creating new UI for their existing content.
Creating Illustrations
I presented Selecta with a number of different illustrative style options for them to choose from, using two "characters" that would appear in their diagrams to demonstrate.
Brand system
Using the new bright, textural illustration style, I redrew a number of scientific diagrams for the Selecta site, and even created an animated video from one flowchart.
Website
The new UI that I helped to design features warm patient imagery, alongside highly technical information deep-dives.
